Reporting access to care for CQC

DESIGN SNAPSHOT

Working with Care Quality Commission on the 2019 State of Care report.

CONCEPT | DESIGN | PRODUCTION

Each year the Care Quality Commission (CQC) reports to Parliament and the public The State of health care and adult social care in England. The role of CQC is as an independent regulator, to register health and adult social care service providers in England and to inspect whether or not standards are being met.

We work with CQC to communicate the annual report’s key message in a fresh and engaging way with clear and striking graphics that can be easily used within the organisation.

Access to care: Solving the puzzle

We created a new concept to support the theme of this year’s report which focuses on access to care and the sometimes difficult experiences people have across England. Sector colours are represented as broken pathway pieces within circles or dials to create the impression of a puzzle. A successful pathway to care can then be highlighted where pathways are aligned.

Design and accessibility

We have worked with CQC to ensure the main report adheres to strict Department of Health accessibility standards while still standing alone as a strong and engaging concept-themed report.

“Zephyr continues to deliver great ideas and a great service to CQC across our most important reports.”
